COURSE FORMAT

This course is a legal requirement for anyone who operates a forklift, licence class (LF)TLILIC 0003. If you do not have a High Risk Licence you must enroll in a formal training course, delivered by recognised trainers and accredited assessors who are aligned with R.T.O.

This is a series of safety videos, forklift safety,

stability triangle ,power point on forklift operations and electrical safety video.

Read and understand - data plate ,pre start checks,start up checks , hazard detection,hazard control , mount and dismount correct procedures, shutdown and park procedures

DAY 2

BASIC LEARNING SKILLS , USING CONTROLS CORRECTLY

DRIVE FORWARDS AND REVERSE STACK AND MOVE PALLETS

PRACTICAL DEMO FROM TRAINER DRIVING AROUND CICAINE AND REVERSING.

DRIVING AROUND CICAINE BOTH LOADED AND UNLOADED

Normally 3-4 hrs

WE PROGRESS TO USING RACKING STACKING 4 DIFFERENT LOADS AT THREE DIFFERENT LEVELS CORRECTLY

ONCE YOU ARE COMPETENT AT DOING ALL THE ABOVE WE PROGRESS TO YOUR WHS FORKLIFT LICENCE ASSESSMENT

1 WRITTEN ASSESSMENT -- 2 HOURS APPROX

2.CALCULATIONS ASSESSMENT -- 1 HOUR APPROX

YOU MUST PASS BOTH OF THESES BEFORE YOU CAN PROGRESS TO YOUR PRACTICAL TEST

YOU MUST STUDY FOR THE WRITTEN TEST.

PRACTICAL TEST APPROX ---- 1 HR

• Plan work – Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures
• Conduct routine checks – Pre start check, start up check
• Shift Loads – The weight of load is assessed to ensure compliance with forklift truck data plate specifications Forklift is operated at a safe speed and according to procedures a ,use racking correctly high medium and low levels.
• Shut down and park – Correctly

Times given are a guide only some students learn faster then others and can progress quicker. DAYS OF TRAINING DO NOT HAVE TO BE CONSECUTIVE.
